About Us

Engineering Emporium was created by two Iowa State University students: Kathleen Bussan and Jeremy Swedberg. When they were kids they would make rube goldberg machines with everyday household items. They would often beg their parents for more parts for their intricate chain reaction machines. As adults they turned their childhood hobby into a business. In this kit are all the parts that as kids they coveted. Now children and adults alike can use this Engineering Emporium kit to learn about simple machines, the scientific method, levers, motion and force.

Kathleen Bussan created the worksheets, website and marketing strategy.

Jeremy does customer service.
